I am so very embarrassed to share the fact that I weighed 163.5 at one time. I am 5′ 3″ tall, and a Z Lifer, keeping it off! I lost all 50 pounds I needed to lose and continue to maintain My Z Weight. It’s a joy to be in such a healthy place during this time of my life. I love spending time with my grandchildren; now I have plenty of energy when I do.

Bill,
If this works for me, you need to get this plan to every women in menopause and post-menopause. I’ve been battling with my weight now for 10 yrs! After that amount of time, I was ready to give up and accept my weight issue as hopeless. I have spoken with 3 Gynecologists in the past 10 yrs. and one Internalist who all told me the same thing. Basically they said my metabolism had slowed down considerably and I needed to exercise more. I am willing to Power Walk or exercise for an hour each night, but realistically I don’t have time for any more than that. Even with exercise, my scales would not move.

I feel it is important for others to know that you can lose weight later in life. I want to be an encouragement to others because I was so discouraged, too. I’d tried every fad diet out there, several weight loss pills (both prescription and over the counter), exercise, and going without eating.
I found that three years of Weight Watchers was far too slow and I became discouraged; plus, I hated the points system.
.
What I love about the “Z” is the quick results. You encourage to get on the scale twice a day and learn how to interpret the numbers properly. Other plans have suggested once per week.

Seeing my morning scale number go down often, even if just a little at a time, was enough encouragement to motivate me further. The results are far quicker than anything I’ve ever seen, and I ate whatever I wanted in well-planned amounts. As you know, I would slip on the weekends sometimes. I quickly learned the principle that it took 2 days to make up for a bad day.
I actually got to the point that people were telling me to stop losing weight, but I didn’t until reaching my Z weight.
Since getting to Z in January, 2011, I occasionally get lax and gain a little weight back (winter months & holidays). So I have highlighted all the key points throughout the book. I review those highlighted items and get back to the “Z” right away on rare occasions if I need to.
Your method is the only real measurable success I have ever had. I love people noticing that I’ve lost weight and I don’t hate looking in the mirror anymore. I kept some cute little clothes I really wanted to get back into and I have. I don’t feel so insecure around people now, and don’t mind my picture being taken like I used to. I have found everything you have written in your book to be true. Your testimony is awesome. I believe God puts us in one another’s paths.
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
